यह देखकर कृतवर्मा ने अपना धनुष पूरी तरह खींचकर छोड़ दिया, तथा शिला पर तीखे किए गए तीन बाणों से सात्यकि को घायल कर दिया और उनमें से एक बाण से उसका धनुष काट दिया।
