हे महाराज! मद्रराज शल्य ने युद्धस्थल में युधिष्ठिर को तीन, भीमसेन को पाँच, सात्यकि को सौ और सहदेव को तीन बाणों से घायल कर दिया और फिर महाहृदयी नकुल के धनुष को छुरे से बाणों सहित काट डाला। शल्य के बाणों से कटा हुआ वह धनुष टुकड़े-टुकड़े होकर बिखर गया॥18-20॥
Honorable King! Madra king Shalya wounded Yudhishthira with three arrows, Bhimasena with five, Satyaki with hundred and Sahadeva with three arrows on the battlefield and then cut off the bow of the great-hearted Nakula along with his arrows with a razor. That bow cut by Shalya's arrows broke into pieces and scattered.॥18-20॥
