तत्पश्चात् धनुष, हथेली और बाणों की ध्वनि से शत्रुओं को बलपूर्वक व्याकुल करके तथा कौरव सैनिकों को उत्तम बाणों से आच्छादित करके, परम प्रभावशाली एवं श्रेष्ठ पुरुषोत्तम गरुड़ध्वज श्रीकृष्ण और कपिध्वज अर्जुन हर्ष में भरकर, शत्रुओं के हृदयों को विदीर्ण करते हुए, दो उत्तम शंख हाथ में लेकर, उन्हें चूमकर तथा अपने सुन्दर मुखों से एक साथ बजाने लगे। उनके दोनों शंख सुवर्णमय जाल से आवृत थे, हिम के समान श्वेत थे और बड़ी भारी ध्वनि उत्पन्न करते थे।
Thereafter, having forcefully made the enemies destitute with the bowstring, palm and sound of arrows, and having covered the Kaurava soldiers with excellent arrows, the extremely influential and best of men, Garuda-dhwaj Shri Krishna and Kapi-dhwaj Arjuna, filled with joy, piercing the hearts of their opponents, took two excellent conches in their hands and began kissing and blowing them simultaneously with their beautiful mouths. Both their conches were covered with gold netting, were as white as snow and produced a great sound.
