न तान् रथस्थो भूमिष्ठान् धर्मापेक्षी वृकोदर:।
योधयामास कौन्तेयो भुजवीर्यव्यपाश्रय:॥ २४॥

कुन्तीपुत्र भीमसेन युद्ध के नियमों का पालन करने वाले थे, इसलिए उन्होंने स्वयं रथ पर बैठकर भूमि पर खड़े पैदल सैनिकों से युद्ध नहीं किया। उन्हें अपने बाहुबल पर पूरा विश्वास था॥ 24॥
Kunti's son Bhimasena was a follower of the rules of war, so he himself did not fight with the infantrymen standing on the ground while sitting on a chariot. He had full faith in his physical strength.॥ 24॥
