समीक्ष्य हृष्टा: कुरवोऽभ्यपूजयन्।
पराक्रमज्ञास्तु धनंजयस्य ये

| अलौकिक पराक्रम करने वाले वृषसेन का यह कृत्य देखकर सब कौरव हर्ष से भर गए और उसकी बहुत प्रशंसा करने लगे; परंतु जो लोग अर्जुन के पराक्रम को जानते थे, वे यह अवश्य समझ गए थे कि अब यह वृषसेन अग्नि में आहुति बन जाएगा॥23॥ |
