ध्वजावमर्दे च कृते महाहवे।

| उस महायुद्ध में जब अर्जुन के बाणों से कृपाचार्य के अस्त्र-शस्त्र गिर पड़े और उनकी ध्वजा कट गई, तब जैसे किरीटधारी अर्जुन ने पहले भीष्म को हजारों बाणों से घेर लिया था, उसी प्रकार उन्होंने कृपाचार्य को भी हजारों बाणों से बाँध दिया। |
