सहस्त्रबाहु कार्तवीर्य अर्जुन के समान पराक्रमी कुन्तीपुत्र अर्जुन ने अपने बाणों से कृपाचार्य के धनुष, घोड़े, ध्वजा और सारथि को उसी प्रकार छेद डाला, जैसे पूर्वकाल में वज्रधारी इन्द्र ने राजा बलि के धनुष आदि को क्षतिग्रस्त कर दिया था।
