उस युद्ध में जब सत्यचिन्तन करने वाले अर्जुन ने शत्रुओं के पक्ष और विपक्ष दोनों को मार डाला, तब द्रोणपुत्र अश्वत्थामा अपने विशाल सुवर्णभूषित धनुष को घुमाता हुआ तथा सूर्यदेव के समान भयंकर बाण धारण किए हुए, विजय प्राप्त करने वाले योद्धाओं में श्रेष्ठ अर्जुन के सामने तुरंत आ खड़ा हुआ। 118-119॥
In that war, when Arjuna, who had the right intentions, killed both the side and the opposite sides of the enemies, then Drona's son Ashwatthama, swinging his huge bow adorned with gold and holding an arrow as fierce as the sun god bearing his rays, immediately came in front of Arjuna, the best of the victorious warriors. 118-119॥
