जो रणभूमि में कर्ण के समान पराक्रमी, शस्त्र चलाने में तेज, बल और पराक्रम से संपन्न और अत्यंत तेजस्वी था, उस कर्णपुत्र वृषसेन को अर्जुन के साथ युद्ध करते हुए, अभिमन्यु के वध की बात सुनकर ली गई प्रतिज्ञा का स्मरण हो आया था, उसी ने कर्ण के सामने ही यमलोक भेज दिया॥ 23-24॥
Who was as valiant as Karna in the battle-field, quick in wielding weapons, endowed with strong strength and valour and extremely illustrious, that Karna's son Vrishasena, fighting with Arjuna, who remembered the vow he had taken on hearing of Abhimanyu's slaying, was sent to Yamaloka by him in front of Karna.॥ 23-24॥
