तथा सावरणान् कांश्चित्तत्र तत्र विशाम्पते।
रथान् नागा: समासाद्य परिगृह्य च मारिष॥ ३४॥
व्याक्षिपन् सहसा तत्र घोररूपे भयानके।
नाराचैर्निहताश्चापि गजा: पेतुर्महाबला:॥ ३५॥
पर्वतस्येव शिखरं वज्ररुग्णं महीतले। |

| माननीय महाराज! उस भयंकर एवं भयानक युद्ध में अनेक हाथी निकट आकर कुछ ढके हुए रथों को अपनी सूँडों से पकड़ लेते, उन्हें बड़े जोर से खींचते और अचानक दूर फेंक देते। फिर वे महाबली हाथी भी बाणों से घायल होकर वज्र से टूटे हुए पर्वत शिखरों के समान पृथ्वी पर गिर पड़ते। |
