उनके ऐसा कहने पर समस्त देवताओं ने इस प्रकार कहा—'हे देव! वृत्रासुर ने हमारा तेज हर लिया है। आप देवताओं के रक्षक हैं। महेश्वर! कृपया हमारे शरीर की स्थिति देखिए। वृत्रासुर के प्रहार से हम दुर्बल हो गए हैं, इसीलिए आपकी शरण में आए हैं। कृपया हमें शरण दीजिए।'॥59-60॥
On his saying this, all the gods said thus—'O God! Vritrasura has taken away our glory. You are the protector of the gods. Maheshwar! Please see the condition of our bodies. We have become weak due to the attacks of Vritrasura, that is why we have come to your shelter. Please give us shelter'॥ 59-60॥
