केकय, चेदि, करुष, मत्स्यदेश और अन्यान्य भूमिपालों ने आचार्य को उसी प्रकार क्षुब्ध किया होगा, जैसे बहुत सी चींटियाँ सर्प को क्षुब्ध कर देती हैं; उसी अवस्था में उन पाण्डव सैनिकों से सब ओर से घिरे हुए उस दुष्ट धृष्टद्युम्न ने कठिन कार्य में लगे हुए द्रोणाचार्य को अवश्य मार डाला होगा; यही बात मेरे मन में आती है।।27-28 1/2।।
The Kekayas, Chedis, Karushas, Matsyadeshas and other land-keepers must have agitated the Acharya like a lot of ants agitate a snake; in the same condition, surrounded on all sides by those Pandava soldiers, the wretched Dhrishtadyumna must have killed Dronacharya who was engaged in a difficult task; this is what comes to my mind. 27-28 1/2.
