पञ्चालराजं च शरै: प्रमथ्य।
युधिष्ठिरानीकमदीनसत्त्वो
द्रोणोऽभ्ययात् कार्मुकबाणपाणि:॥ २४॥

केकय के पांच श्रेष्ठ राजकुमारों तथा पांचाल के राजा द्रुपद को अपने बाणों से मथ डालने के पश्चात उदार हृदय वाले द्रोणाचार्य ने धनुष-बाण लेकर युधिष्ठिर की सेना पर आक्रमण किया।
After churning the five best princes of Kekaya and King Drupada of Panchala with his arrows, the generous hearted Dronacharya attacked Yudhishthira's army with bow and arrow in his hands.
