स चेन्ममार सृञ्जय चतुर्भद्रतरस्त्वया॥ २४॥
पुत्रात् पुण्यतरस्तुभ्यं मा पुत्रमनुतप्यथा:।
अयज्वानमदाक्षिण्यमभि श्वैत्येत्युदाहरत्॥ २५॥
अनुवाद
श्वेता सृंजय! वे श्री रामचन्द्र जी धर्म, ज्ञान, वैराग्य और धन-इन चारों में आपसे कहीं श्रेष्ठ थे और आपके पुत्र से भी अधिक धर्मात्मा थे। जब वे ही यहाँ नहीं रह सके, तो अन्यों की तो बात ही क्या? अतः आपको यज्ञ और दान से वंचित अपने पुत्र के लिए शोक नहीं करना चाहिए। नारद जी ने भी राजा सृंजय से यही बात कही। 24-25।
Shvaitya Srinjaya! That Shri Ramchandra Ji was far superior to you in all the four aspects of religion, knowledge, detachment and wealth and was even more pious than your son. When even he could not stay here, then what to say about others? Therefore, you should not grieve for your son who is deprived of sacrifices and donations. Narad Ji said the same thing to King Srinjaya. 24-25.
