सभी जीव अपने आप ही अपने प्राण त्यागते हैं। मृत्यु उन्हें हाथ में डंडा लेकर नहीं मारती। इसलिए बुद्धिमान पुरुष मृत्यु को ब्रह्मा द्वारा रचित एक निश्चित नियम मानकर मृत प्राणियों के लिए कभी शोक नहीं करते। इस प्रकार ब्रह्मा द्वारा रचित सम्पूर्ण सृष्टि को मृत्यु के अधीन जानकर तुम्हें अपने पुत्र की मृत्यु से उत्पन्न शोक का शीघ्र ही त्याग कर देना चाहिए॥50॥
All living beings kill themselves on their own. Death does not kill them with a stick in his hand. Therefore, the wise men never mourn for the dead beings, considering death to be a fixed law created by Brahma. In this way, knowing that the entire creation created by Brahma is subject to death, you should quickly abandon the grief caused by the death of your son. ॥ 50॥
