महाराज! अर्जुनपुत्र अभिमन्यु ने आपके सहस्रों सैनिकों की उन भुजाओं को तुरन्त काट डाला, जो सुगन्धित चन्दन के लेप से लिपटी हुई थीं। वीरों की उन भुजाओं में छिपकली की खाल से बने दस्ताने बंधे हुए थे। धनुष-बाण उनमें शोभा पा रहे थे। कुछ भुजाओं में ढाल, तलवारें, अंकुश और लगाम दिखाई दे रहे थे। कुछ भुजाओं में तोमर और कुल्हाड़ी शोभा पा रही थीं। कुछ में गदा, लौह-गोलियाँ, प्रास, ऋष्टि, तोमर, पट्टिश, भिन्दिपाल, परिघ, श्रेष्ठ शक्ति, कम्पन, प्रतोद, महाशंख और कुण्ट दिखाई दे रहे थे। कुछ भुजाओं में शत्रुओं के सिर थे। कुछ में गदाएँ, फेंकने के योग्य अन्य अस्त्र, पाश, परिघ और पत्थर के टुकड़े दिखाई दे रहे थे। वीरों की वे सभी भुजाएँ कीर और अंगद आदि आभूषणों से सुशोभित थीं।
