अभिमन्यु की ऊँची और विशाल ध्वजा पर कर्णिकार का चिह्न अंकित था। उसने स्वर्ण-कवच धारण किया हुआ था। अर्जुन का पुत्र अपने पिता अर्जुन से भी अधिक वीर था। जैसे सिंह का बालक हाथियों पर आक्रमण करता है, उसी प्रकार अभिमन्यु ने युद्ध की इच्छा से द्रोण आदि महारथियों पर आक्रमण किया।॥12॥
Abhimanyu's tall and great flag had the symbol of Karnikaara on it. He was wearing a golden armour. Arjun's son was a braver than his father Arjun. Just like a lion's child attacks elephants, in the same way Abhimanyu attacked great warriors like Drona with the desire to fight.॥12॥
