वहाँ पिता अपने पुत्र को, मित्र अपने परम मित्र को तथा पुत्र बाणों के आघात से भयभीत होकर पिता को छोड़कर भाग जाता था। उस समय अर्जुन के बाणों से घायल हुए सभी लोग अपनी सवारी तक को छोड़कर प्राण बचाने में लग जाते थे।॥ 42॥
There a father would abandon his son, a friend would abandon his best friend and a son, frightened by the strokes of arrows, would abandon his father and run away. At that time all those who were struck by Arjuna's arrows would run away, abandoning even their rides, focusing on saving their own lives.॥ 42॥
इति श्रीमहाभारते द्रोणपर्वणि संशप्तकवधपर्वणि शकुनिपलायने त्रिंशोऽध्याय:॥ ३०॥
इस प्रकार श्रीमहाभारत द्रोणपर्वके अन्तर्गत संशप्तकवधपर्वमें शकुनिका पलायनविषयक तीसवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ॥ ३०॥
