संजय कहते हैं - हे राजन! उस विधि से उस असह्य अग्नि के शान्त हो जाने पर समस्त दिशाएँ और उपदिशाएँ स्वच्छ हो गईं। शीतल सुखद वायु बहने लगी। पशु-पक्षियों का विलाप बन्द हो गया और उस अजेय अस्त्र के शान्त हो जाने पर समस्त वाहन भी प्रसन्न हो गए।
