कुंतीपुत्र युधिष्ठिर ने धर्म का वेश धारण करके युद्धप्रिय आचार्य से कहा था कि, "आप अपने शस्त्र त्याग दीजिए" और उनसे शस्त्र रखवा दिए थे; अतः मैं उनके देखते ही उनकी सारी सेना को भगा दूँगा और उनके सब सैनिकों को भगा देने के पश्चात् उस दुष्ट पांचालपुत्र का वध करूँगा।
