संजय कहते हैं - हे राजन! धृष्टद्युम्न ने श्रीमान् सात्यकि से बहुत कठोर और कटु वचन कहे। उन्हें सुनकर वह क्रोध से काँपने लगा। उसकी आँखें लाल हो गईं और उसने साँप के समान लंबी साँस लेकर अपना धनुष रथ पर रख दिया और हाथ में गदा ले ली। फिर वह धृष्टद्युम्न के पास गया और बड़े क्रोध से बोला - 'अब मैं तुमसे कठोर वचन नहीं कहूँगा। तुम वध के योग्य हो, इसलिए मैं तुम्हारा वध करूँगा।' 45-47 1/2।
Sanjaya says - O King! Dhrishtadyumna spoke many cruel and harsh words to Shriman Satyaki. On hearing them, he started trembling with anger. His eyes became red and he took a long breath like a snake and put down his bow on the chariot and took up his mace in his hand. Then he went to Dhrishtadyumna and spoke with great anger - 'Now I will not speak harsh words to you. You deserve to be killed, so I will kill you. 45-47 1/2.
