परंतु जो अपने को और दूसरों को हानि से बचाता है, युद्ध में शत्रुओं को हानि पहुँचाना ही जिसका जीवन है तथा जो स्त्रियों और साधुओं के प्रति क्षमाशील है, वह क्षत्रिय है और वह शीघ्र ही इस पृथ्वी के राज्य, धर्म, यश और धन को प्राप्त कर लेता है॥4॥
But he who saves himself and others from harm, whose livelihood is inflicting harm on the enemies in war and who is forgiving towards women and saints, he is a Kshatriya and he soon attains the kingdom, religion, fame and wealth of this earth.॥ 4॥
