भगवान शंकर का वह वृषभ जो नन्दिकेश्वर के उत्तम अंगों के समान श्वेत कांति वाला है, जो कामदेव के श्वेत पुष्पयुक्त धनुष के समान पूर्ण उज्ज्वल प्रकाश से चमकता है और नवविवाहिता की मृदु मुस्कान के समान सुन्दर एवं मनोहर प्रतीत होता है; वह कुमुदकुल-बांधव चन्द्रमा धीरे-धीरे ऊपर उठकर आकाश में अपनी चांदनी बिखेरने लगा॥48॥
