तत्पश्चात् राक्षस की दिव्य माया से युद्ध करते हुए लज्जाशील सूतपुत्र कर्ण ने अपने बाणों से आकाश को आच्छादित कर दिया और युद्ध में अत्यन्त वीरतापूर्ण तथा कठिन कर्म करते हुए भी वह माया के वशीभूत नहीं हुआ ॥44॥
Thereafter, while fighting with the demon's divine illusion, the shy son of Suta, Karna, covered the sky with his arrows and despite doing the most heroic and difficult deeds in the war, he did not fall prey to the illusion. 44॥
