जैसे सुन्दर पुष्पों से सुशोभित दो वनश्रेणियाँ रात्रि में सुप्त (सिकुड़े हुए पत्तों सहित) दिखाई देती हैं, उसी प्रकार दोनों रक्षित सेनाएँ आमने-सामने स्थिर खड़ी थीं ॥22॥
Just as two forest ranges adorned with beautiful flowers are seen dormant (with shrunken leaves) at night, similarly the two protected armies stood face to face, motionless. ॥22॥
