उस समय कुन्तीपुत्र भीमसेन भोजवंशी सेना को पार करके, दर्धनों की विशाल सेना को पार करके तथा अनेक युद्ध-कुशल म्लेच्छों को पराजित करके, महारथी सात्यकि को शत्रुओं के साथ युद्ध करते देखकर, सावधान होकर अपने रथ पर तेजी से आगे बढ़े।
