तदिदं मम भद्रं ते शोकस्थानमरिंदम।
अर्जुनार्थे महाबाहो सात्वतस्य च कारणात्॥ ४१॥
वर्धते हविषेवाग्निरिध्यमान: पुन: पुन:।
तस्य लक्ष्म न पश्यामि तेन विन्दामि कश्मलम्॥ ४२॥
अनुवाद
हे शत्रुओं का नाश करने वाले पराक्रमी भीम! आपका कल्याण हो। यही मेरे दुःख का कारण है। मैं केवल अर्जुन और सात्यकि के लिए दुःखी हूँ। जैसे बार-बार घी डालने से अग्नि प्रज्वलित हो जाती है, वैसे ही मेरा दुःख बढ़ता जा रहा है। मुझे अर्जुन का कोई चिह्न दिखाई नहीं दे रहा, इसीलिए मैं मोहग्रस्त हो रहा हूँ।
‘May you be blessed, O mighty Bhima, destroyer of enemies. This is the reason for my grief. I am saddened only for Arjuna and Satyaki. Just as a fire is lit up by pouring ghee again and again, similarly my grief is increasing. I do not see any sign of Arjuna, that is why I am getting deluded.
