परन्तु आज तो तुम युद्ध छोड़कर भयभीत होकर शत्रुओं का सुख बढ़ा रहे हो। शत्रुसूदन! तुम सेनापति हो। यदि तुम भाग जाओगे, तो युद्धभूमि में और कौन टिक सकेगा? जब रक्षक या आश्रयदाता ही भयभीत हो, तो दूसरा क्यों न भयभीत होगा?॥12 1/2॥
‘But today you have left the battle and are scared and increasing the happiness of the enemies. Shatrusudan! You are the commander. If you run away, who else will be able to stay in the battlefield? When the protector or the shelterer himself is scared, then why won't the other be scared?॥ 12 1/2॥
