कुछ हाथी चक्कर खाने लगे, कुछ लड़खड़ाने लगे, कुछ गिर पड़े और कुछ पीड़ा के कारण अत्यन्त दुर्बल हो गये। इस प्रकार अग्नि और सूर्य के समान तेजस्वी युयुधान के बाणों से पीड़ित होकर हाथियों की सेना सब दिशाओं में भागने लगी।
Some of the elephants started spinning, some started stumbling, some fell down and some were very weak due to pain. Thus the army of elephants, tormented by the arrows of Yuyudhan which were as bright as fire and sun, fled in all directions.
