उन हाथियों के दाँत टूट गए, शरीर के सब अंगों से रक्त की धाराएँ बहने लगीं, मस्तक और मुकुट फट गए, कान, मुँह और धड़ फट गए, महावत मारे गए और ध्वजाएँ टूटकर गिर गईं। उनके प्राण छिद गए, घंटियाँ टूट गईं और विशाल ध्वजाएँ गिर गईं। सवार मारे गए और झूले फिसलकर गिर पड़े। हे राजन! ऐसी दशा में वे हाथी भागकर भिन्न-भिन्न दिशाओं में आश्रय लेने लगे॥25-26॥
The teeth of those elephants broke, streams of blood started flowing from all the body parts, the forehead and the crown were torn, the ears, mouth and trunk were torn, the mahouts were killed and the flags and banners broke and fell down. Their vital parts were pierced, the bells broke and the huge flags fell down. The riders were killed and the swings slipped and fell down. O King! In such a condition, those elephants ran away and took shelter in different directions.॥25-26॥
