संजय कहते हैं - हे राजन! मैं जो कुछ आपसे पूछ रहा हूँ, उसे ध्यानपूर्वक सुनिए। जब महामनस्वी कृतवर्मा द्वारा भगाए जाने के कारण पाण्डव सेना लज्जा से झुक गई और आपके सैनिक हर्ष से हर्षित हो गए, उस समय सात्यकि ने द्वीप बनकर सेनारूपी विशाल समुद्र में गहराई ढूँढ़ने की इच्छा रखने वाले पाण्डव सैनिकों को आश्रय दिया (उस सात्यकि का पराक्रम सुनिए)।॥1-2॥
Sanjaya says - O King! Listen to whatever I am asking you with full attention. When the Pandava army bowed down in shame due to being chased away by the great-minded Kritavarma and your soldiers became delighted with joy, at that time Satyaki became an island and provided shelter to the Pandava soldiers who wanted to find depth in the vast sea of army (listen to the valour of that Satyaki).॥1-2॥
