जिन्होंने काशीपुरी में स्त्रियों में रुचि रखने वाले काशीराज के महारथी पुत्र को युद्धस्थल में भल्ल नामक बाण से रथ से गिरा दिया; जो कुन्तीपुत्रों की गुप्त मंत्रणा के रक्षक हैं और दुर्योधन का विनाश करने के लिए सदैव तत्पर रहते हैं तथा जो द्रोणाचार्य को मारने के लिए उत्पन्न हुए हैं; जब वे महाधनुर्धर धृष्टद्युम्न अपने बाणों की अग्नि से रणभूमि में योद्धाओं को जलाते हुए और सम्पूर्ण सेना को सब ओर से बींधते हुए द्रोणाचार्य की ओर आ रहे थे, उस समय किन-किन वीर योद्धाओं ने उन्हें रोका?॥ 60-62॥
