रथं स्वमुत्सृज्य पदातिराजौ
प्रगृह्य खड्गं विपुलं च चर्म।
अवप्लुत: सिंह इवाचलाग्रा-
ज्जगामान्यं भूमिप भूमिदेशम्॥ ३८॥
अनुवाद
हे राजन! वह अपना रथ छोड़कर हाथ में विशाल ढाल और तलवार लिए हुए सिंह के समान पर्वत की चोटी से कूद पड़ा और पैदल ही युद्धभूमि के दूसरे भाग में चला गया।
O King! Leaving his chariot, he jumped from the top of the mountain like a lion, holding a huge shield and sword in his hands, and wandered on foot to another part of the battlefield.
