स बभौ रथशार्दूलो ललाटे संस्थितैस्त्रिभि:।
शिखरै: काञ्चनमयैर्मेरुस्त्रिभिरिवोच्छ्रितै:॥ २७॥

उन तीन बाणों को माथे में लगाकर रथियों में श्रेष्ठ अश्वत्थामा तीन ऊँचे सुवर्णमय शिखरों वाले मेरु पर्वत के समान शोभायमान होने लगा॥ 27॥
With those three arrows stuck in his forehead, Ashwatthama, that best of charioteers, began to look like Mount Meru with its three tall golden peaks.॥ 27॥
