तान् दृष्ट्वाभ्युद्यतान् संख्ये पाण्डवा हि यशस्विन:।
श्येनेन व्यूहराजेन तेनाजय्येन संयुगे॥ ७॥
अशोभत मुखे तस्य भीमसेनो महाबल:।
नेत्रे शिखण्डी दुर्धर्षो धृष्टद्युम्नश्च पार्षत:॥ ८॥ |

| शत्रुओं को युद्ध के लिए उद्यत देखकर महाबली पाण्डवों ने अजेय योद्धा श्येन का रूप धारण कर लिया और कीर्ति प्राप्त करने लगे। उस व्यूह के अग्रभाग में महाबली भीमसेन शोभायमान थे। नेत्रों के स्थान पर वीर शिखण्डी और द्रुपदकुमार धृष्टद्युम्न खड़े थे। |

| Seeing the enemies ready for war, the illustrious Pandavas united themselves in the form of the invincible warrior Shyena and started gaining glory. The mighty Bhimsen was adorning the front of that array. In place of the eyes stood the brave warrior Shikhandi and Drupadakumar Dhrishtadyumna. 7-8॥ |
