यत् तत् परं भविष्यं च भवितव्यं च यत्परम्।
भूतात्मा च प्रभुश्चैव ब्रह्म यच्च परं पदम्॥ ६॥
तेनास्मि कृतसंवाद: प्रसन्नेन सुरर्षभा:।
जगतोऽनुग्रहार्थाय याचितो मे जगत्पति:॥ ७॥
मानुषं लोकमातिष्ठ वासुदेव इति श्रुत:।
असुराणां वधार्थाय सम्भवस्व महीतले॥ ८॥
अनुवाद
हे श्रेष्ठ देवों! जो परम तत्व हैं, जिनके भूत, भविष्य और वर्तमान ये तीन उत्तम रूप हैं, तथा जो इन सबमें अद्वितीय हैं, जो समस्त प्राणियों के आत्मा और सर्वशक्तिमान परमेश्वर कहे जाते हैं, जो परम ब्रह्म और परमपद नाम से विख्यात हैं, वही परम पुरुष मेरे समक्ष प्रकट हुए हैं और प्रसन्नतापूर्वक मुझसे बोले हैं। मैंने उन जगदीश्वर से सम्पूर्ण जगत पर अपनी कृपा बरसाने के लिए इस प्रकार प्रार्थना की है: हे प्रभु! आप वासुदेव नाम से विख्यात होकर कुछ काल तक मनुष्य लोक में निवास करें और राक्षसों का संहार करने के लिए इस पृथ्वी पर अवतरित हों।
‘O great gods! The Supreme Being who is the ultimate element, who has the three excellent forms of the past, the future and the present, and who is unique among all these, who is called the soul of all beings and the Almighty God, who is famous by the name of Param Brahma and Param Pada, that very Supreme Being has appeared before me and has spoken to me with pleasure. I have prayed to that Jagadishwar to shower his blessings on the entire world thus: O Lord! You, being famous by the name of Vasudev, should stay in the human world for some time and descend on this earth to kill the demons.
