तेषां विंशतिरेकोना महाभूतेषु पञ्चसु।
चतुर्विंशतिरुद्दिष्टा गायत्री लोकसम्मता॥ १५॥ |

| ये स्थावर और जंगम रूप में उन्नीस जीव हैं। इनके साथ पंचमहाभूतों की गणना करें तो इनकी संख्या चौबीस हो जाती है। गायत्री में भी चौबीस अक्षर हैं। अतः लोकमतानुसार इन चौबीस तत्वों को भी गायत्री कहा गया है॥ 15॥ |

| These are nineteen living beings in the form of stationary and mobile. If we count the five Mahabhutas with them, their number becomes twenty four. Gayatri also has twenty four letters. Hence these twenty four elements are also called Gayatri according to the people.॥ 15॥ |
