श्रीभगवानुवाच
प्रजहाति यदा कामान्सर्वान्पार्थ मनोगतान् ।
आत्मन्येवात्मना तुष्टः स्थितप्रज्ञस्तदोच्यते ॥ ५५ ॥ |

| श्री भगवान बोले: हे पार्थ! जब मनुष्य मन से उत्पन्न होने वाली समस्त इन्द्रिय-तृप्ति की इच्छाओं को त्याग देता है और जब उसका मन इस प्रकार शुद्ध होकर आत्मा में तृप्ति पाता है, तब वह शुद्ध दिव्य चेतना (स्थितप्रज्ञ) को प्राप्त हो जाता है। |

| Sri Bhagavan said: O Partha! When a man gives up all the desires of sense-gratification which arise from the mental state and when his mind, thus purified, finds satisfaction in the soul, then he is said to have attained pure divine consciousness (Sthitaprajna). |
