दस हज़ार हाथी राजा युधिष्ठिर के पीछे वर्षा ऋतु के बादलों के समान, पर्वतों के समान ऊँचे, चल रहे थे। उनके मस्तक से मद की धारा बह रही थी। वे स्वर्णिम जालीदार झूलों से चमक रहे थे। वे वीरता से परिपूर्ण थे। वे बादलों के समान मद की बूँदें बरसा रहे थे। उनसे कमल के समान सुगंध निकल रही थी और वे सभी बहुमूल्य थे।
Ten thousand elephants were following King Yudhishthira like clouds during the rainy season and as tall as mountains. A stream of intoxication was gushing out from their foreheads. They were glowing with golden lattice swings. They were full of valour. They were raining drops of intoxication like clouds. They emitted a lotus-like fragrance and all of them were precious.
