ते तथा समयं कृत्वा दशमेऽहनि पाण्डवा:।
ब्रह्मलोकपरा भूत्वा संजग्मु: क्रोधमूर्च्छिता:॥ २१॥
शिखण्डिनं पुरस्कृत्य पाण्डवं च धनंजयम्।
भीष्मस्य पातने यत्नं परमं ते समास्थिता:॥ २२॥ |

| तब वे पाण्डव सैनिक दसवें दिन ऐसा ही करने की प्रतिज्ञा करके तथा ब्रह्मलोक को लक्ष्य बनाकर क्रोध से मूर्छित होकर शिखण्डी और पाण्डुपुत्र अर्जुन को आगे करके आगे बढ़े और भीष्म को मार डालने के लिए महान् प्रयत्न करने लगे॥21-22॥ |
