पश्याद्यैतन्महाघोरे संयुगे वैशसं महत्।
हेमचित्राणि शूराणां महान्ति च शुभानि च॥ २५॥
कवचान्यवदीर्यन्ते शरै: संनतपर्वभि:।
छिद्यन्ते च ध्वजाग्राणि तोमराश्च धनूंषि च॥ २६॥ |

| देखो, आज इस घोर संग्राम में कैसा महान संहार हो रहा है । अर्जुन के मुड़े हुए बाणों से योद्धाओं के स्वर्णजटित, शुभ और महान कवच छिन्न-भिन्न हो रहे हैं । ध्वजाओं, गदाओं और धनुषों के अग्रभाग टुकड़े-टुकड़े हो रहे हैं ॥ 25-26॥ |
