महासमर के समय जब मैं गाण्डीव धनुष की प्रत्यंचा खींचूँगा, तब मेरे हाथों के घर्षण से वज्र के समान भयंकर शब्द होगा। जब मंदबुद्धि दुर्योधन गाण्डीव धनुष की भयंकर टंकार सुनेगा और अपनी सेना को मेरे बाणों की वर्षा से उत्पन्न अंधकार में इधर-उधर भागती हुई गायों के समान रणभूमि से भागते हुए देखेगा, तब वह मंदबुद्धि और मूर्ख धृतराष्ट्रपुत्र अपने दुष्ट साथियों सहित अत्यन्त दुःखी होगा॥ 52-53॥
At the time of the great battle when I pull the string of the Gandiva bow, the friction of my hands will produce a terrifying sound like that of a thunderbolt. When the dull-witted Duryodhana will hear the fierce twang of the Gandiva bow and will see his army fleeing from the battle-field like cows running here and there in the darkness created by the shower of my arrows, then that dull-witted and foolish son of Dhritarashtra, accompanied by his evil aides, will be greatly distressed.॥ 52-53॥
