धृतराष्ट्र बोले - जो पवित्र, सनातन और श्रेष्ठ लोक द्विजातियों के लिए यज्ञ करने से प्राप्त होने वाले बताए गए हैं, उन्हें यहाँ वेद परम पुरुषार्थ कहते हैं। ऐसा जानने वाला विद्वान् क्यों न शुभ कर्मों का आश्रय ले? 17॥
Dhritarashtra said - The sacred, eternal and elevated worlds which have been told to be attained by performing yagyas for the twice-caste people, here the Vedas call them as the ultimate effort. Why shouldn't a scholar who knows this take refuge in good deeds? 17॥
