समुद्र में गिरने वाली कोई भी वस्तु नष्ट हो जाती है; जो व्यक्ति सुनता नहीं, उससे कही गई कोई भी बात भी नष्ट हो जाती है; जिस व्यक्ति ने अपनी इन्द्रियों को वश में नहीं किया है, उसका शास्त्र ज्ञान और भस्म से किया गया तर्पण भी नष्ट हो जाता है।
Any object that falls into the ocean is destroyed; anything spoken to a person who does not listen is also destroyed; the knowledge of scriptures of a person who has not controlled his senses and the offering made with ashes are also doomed.
