विद्याध्ययन के पश्चात वैश्य को कृषि, गोरक्षा और व्यापार द्वारा धन अर्जित करना चाहिए तथा उसकी सावधानीपूर्वक रक्षा करनी चाहिए। ब्राह्मणों और क्षत्रियों का प्रिय, धार्मिक और सदाचारी होकर गृहस्थाश्रम में रहना चाहिए।
After studying, a Vaishya should earn money through agriculture, cow protection and business and should protect it carefully. Being dear to Brahmins and Kshatriyas, being religious and virtuous, he should live in the grihasthashram.
