Before leaving, they all bathed, purified themselves, wore white clothes, wore garlands of flowers, had the Brahmins recite the Swasti mantra, offered oblations in the fire, then, hoisting the flag and taking up weapons in their hands, proceeded towards the battle-field.॥ 2॥
