O best of the Bharatas, Janamejaya! Thus Yudhishthira first spoke sweet words to the owl and then replied in powerful words. On hearing the aforesaid message of Duryodhan (from the mouth of the owl), Yudhishthira, the jewel of the Bharata clan, started sighing like a poisonous snake, looking with his eyes very red with anger. Then, licking both the corners of his lips, he looked towards Shri Krishna and his brothers and got ready to speak. Lifting his huge arm, he spoke smilingly to the owl, the son of the cunning gambler Shakuni—॥ 48-50॥
