वैशम्पायन उवाच
तस्य तद् वचनं श्रुत्वा धर्मराजस्य धीमत:।
अब्रवीत् पुण्डरीकाक्षो धनंजयमवेक्ष्य ह॥ ३९॥
ममाप्येते महाराज भवद्भिर्य उदाहृता:।
नेतारस्तव सेनाया मता विक्रान्तयोधिन:॥ ४०॥ |

| वैशम्पायन जी कहते हैं - हे राजन! बुद्धिमान धर्मराज युधिष्ठिर के ये वचन सुनकर कमलनेत्र भगवान श्रीकृष्ण ने अर्जुन की ओर देखते हुए कहा - 'महाराज! आपने जिन वीरों के नाम बताये हैं, वे सभी मेरे विचार से सेनापति होने के योग्य हैं; क्योंकि वे सभी बड़े पराक्रमी योद्धा हैं। |
