न तस्य हि मतिं छिन्द्याद् यस्य नेच्छेत् पराभवम्।
अविच्छिन्नमतेरस्य कल्याणे धीयते मति:।
आत्मवान् नावमन्येत त्रिषु लोकेषु भारत॥ ४१॥
अप्यन्यं प्राकृतं किंचित् किमु तान् पाण्डवर्षभान्।
अमर्षवशमापन्नो न किंचिद् बुध्यते जन:॥ ४२॥ |

| अनुवाद |
| मनुष्य को चाहिए कि जिसे वह पराजित नहीं करना चाहता, उसकी बुद्धि का नाश न करे । जिसकी बुद्धि नष्ट नहीं हुई है, उसी का मन कल्याणकारी कार्यों में लगा रहता है । भरतनन्दन ! मनस्वी पुरुष को चाहिए कि वह तीनों लोकों में किसी प्राकृत (नीच) मनुष्य का भी अपमान न करे, फिर इन महान पाण्डवों का अपमान तो क्या कहा जा सकता है ? ईर्ष्या के वश में रहने वाला मनुष्य किसी भी बात को ठीक से समझ नहीं पाता । 41-42॥ |

| A man should not destroy the intelligence of someone whom he does not want to defeat. The mind of only that person whose intellect has not been destroyed is engaged in welfare activities. Bharatnandan! A Manasvi man should not insult even a Prakrit (low class) man in the three worlds, then what can be said of insulting these great Pandavas? A person who is under the influence of jealousy is unable to understand anything properly. 41-42॥ |
