देवताओं ने कहा - देवी! आपने अपने पतिव्रता और सत्यव्रती होने के कारण इस सम्पूर्ण चराचर जगत का पालन-पोषण किया है। अतः आप नहुष के पास जाएँ। देवी! आपकी इच्छा से पापी नहुष का शीघ्र ही नाश हो जाएगा और इंद्र को पुनः अपना राज्य प्राप्त हो जाएगा।
